I get the same daylight factors with different windows??

Post by Mette »

Hello.

I am investigating the daylight through different windows in Radiance. When I change the visible light normal transmittance nothing changes in the daylight distribution in the room. I also tried changing the transmittance and inside/outside reflectance: Nothing happened there either.
Is this an error in the program or did I do something wrong?

Regards, Mette

The daylight factor is just typed in. If you are using Radiance, this value isnt used, because you have to type it in into radiance.

Also if you use Radiance, (from my experience) ALWAYS run the maximum quality, the rest is just not good enough, and you can only use the colors already premade by IESVE, the color pallet doesnt work.

Kasper is right, in RadianceIES have a look at the Surface Properties tab to see where to do this.

Constructions Database is being updated this year so hopefully we'll see all this information integrated at some point.

Why do I believe "some point" more than "this year"?
