I would like to calculate the DAYLIGHT AUTONOMY. is it possible in IES-VE?
Which program should I use? Radiance or FlucsDL?
if it is not possible, how can I calculate the daylight for a annual simulation instead that for just one istant?
Thank you very much!

Re: Daylight autonomy
Hi,
I believe you could calculate this using Radiance sensors, then run an Apache Simulation and you can view the daylight illuminance levels for each room in Vista

Re: Daylight autonomy
Well for the sensor part with radiance, you only get the daylight for a single point during the entire year. So if you want to use this, you should do a kombi of both the radiance with sensors and a daylight calculation of a 10k overcast sky to see how the room is compared to the point.
Re: Daylight autonomy
yeah follow up to this which was suggested by one of my colleagues but that I originally neglected on the grounds that it's not really practical would be to zone your rooms e.g. in 2m x 2m blocks so you could place sensors uniformly across the room, you can then compile those results from Vista and take it from there
