Hi,
I have a problem when adding windows. The only parameter I can imput is base height and height, however, I couldn't imput width (there is no place). The same problem also exsits for add doors.
My version is Ve-Pro 2012, student version. Is it becasue the student version?
Hope to your reply, thanks.

Re: Add Window
Hello
No you should just go down one level more. There are 3 levels, the main level where you look at the entire building, room level where you look at the entire room (it is this level you are on), and then wall level, where you only look at a wall/roof/floor. Just doubleclick on the wall where you want to draw the window and you should be able to do it quire easily.

Re: Add Window
Hi,
This was an oversight in VE 2012, accidentally the Width input was removed from the Place Openings dialog. We're working on a fix for this now and it should be available from our website soon.
In the meantime you have a few options:
1. To continue to use the Place Openings tool at Building Level in this way you could edit the Opening components in Component Library to the desired Width prior to placing them
2. As KasperS says, do the opening edits at surface level. You could place them first then resize or do all the opening placements at this level.
Hope this one hasn't upset too many of you, seems to be a well loved tool and we'll have it working properly again asap
