Thermal storage feature

Post by luanaepb »

Hi,

Did anyone have the chance to use the thermal storage features now available for ApacheHVAC?

I tried to configured that in a existing ApacheHVAC file I was using but it doesn't seem to be working properly (it does not follow the establish profile for charging and discharging, for example). Does it has to be set in a new file to work?

Regards,

Hi there,

I haven't seen much feedback on the thermal ice storage model option included in VE 2015 Feature Pack 2 either on here or in our Technical Support helpdesk. There should be no problem adding this on to one of your existing model water loops so if it doesn't seem to be picking up then you could send that model to our team for review. Just double check your inputs and that they are applicable for the loads on your plant, there are a few additional variables in VistaPro you can use to check the performance of the ice storage system and you can query this in the waterside results view as well to see it at component level.

I'd be interested to know what might have gone wrong here in case it's an easy thing that others might miss as well
