Hi,
I am new to IES and I have question about IFC.
If an IFC file includes thermal properties (e.g in ifc.extended material properties) , can IES import this attributes and use them or should I assign the material and U-value again?
Thanks
IFC and thermal properties
Re: IFC and thermal properties
Hi,
I don't think our current IFC import would pick up these properties as it's only initially looking for space geometry data. That's not to say the import couldn't be improved in future to accept any of these standards and being them into models as well, the goal is a single information model we can all share.
Please be sure that the IFC geometry import in VE is still a beta and is fairly early in its development.
