The Role
We are looking for an Senior Sustainability Engineer to support our engineering teams, primarily in the Oxford office.
You will provide a diverse sustainability engineering service for a range of project scales and types. With strong IES design and simulation capability, identifying best passive solutions, compare low-carbon technologies, and draw conclusions on energy use, CO2 emissions, occupant comfort, light levels, airflow, BREEAM, LEED, EPC ratings, to name but a few.

Desired Skills and Experience
Responsibilities
• IES Performance & Compliance Modelling
• Energy strategies and Building Regulations Part L assessments
• SAP analysis using NHER and dynamic thermal modelling using IES
• Façade performance evaluation and renewable energy feasibility studies
• BREEAM assessments
• Post occupancy evaluation and predictive energy modelling
• Overheating, daylighting and natural ventilation studies
• Working with our Performance Group on energy reduction opportunities in existing buildings.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainability. Already working within sustainability, engineering or architectural consultancy, you may be looking for a new challenge within a practice at the very forefront of our field.
• Your expertise required, includes a Master’s degree in engineering, architecture or science, and experience (at least 2-3years spent within a consultancy practice working in a similar field)

• Enthusiasm for working within a team environment

FYI, JPA Designer would be the better choice for SAP calculations if you are modelling in IES because they can share data. I believe that NHER is more compatible with Tas from memory.
