Hello everyone,
I'm trying to redo a building model, but I want to keep the geometry. Basically, I need to delete all thermal templates and constructions. I've tried two options below:
1. Copying the geometry from ModelIT to a new project. Is there any way to do this?
2. Removing the thermal templates from Building Template Manager. For some reason, I cannot click on the remove template key. It's not possible to select it. Could you advise on this?
If you know any easier way to do this, please let me know.
Thanks!!

Re: Copying geometry to a new project
try exporting the model as a gbXML, and exclude everything except geometry. Then import into a new porject.

Re: Copying geometry to a new project
Thanks!
I'v exported the model as VE Geometry (GEM) and it worked fine. It was an easy job...
I couldn't make it through VE Green Building xml (gbXML). What's the main difference actually?

Re: Copying geometry to a new project
I don't think there's any difference if you are just working on IES, but a gbXML model can be used for different software as well. Say for example you want to import/export between Revit and VE, then you would use gbXML.

You can just do a 'save as', then apply the default templates to all rooms via apache. Then you can delete the old templates.
