I tried posting this the other day but not sure if it worked.
Has anyone had to do a model to show compliance for a building where all its Electricity is powered through Hydropower?
I have an estate with no Grid Connection that gets all its electricity through a MicroHydro Powerplant.
I am convinced this makes the building comply easily but how do I prove this to Building Control?
Is there a valid way to input hydro into IES?

unfortunately you can only input pv, wind, and solar thermal as renewables in VE.
I would guess there's 2 approaches you can try:
1. Model the hydro as a pv system. That is play around with the PV system parameters in VE until you get the electric production that your hydro plant provides.
2. Run the simulation without any renewable energy consideration, and then follow through exceptional calculations to show that the energy consumption shown by your simulation output is matched by the electricity generation of the hydro plant.
The later approach would probably be the most appropriate for compliance, and most easily demonstrated.
