Difficult in making HVAC network

Post by Prabhakaran »

Hi All,
I have been getting trained myself on Apache HVAC. I need to know is there any easiest way to make HVAC layout for building have 25 similar floors with 42 FCU's in each floors and each FCU has multiple rooms. Thanks in advance!

You can use just a single FCU system as the multiplex can duplicate all the FCUs you need. However, you may need to segregate into more than one system depending on whether or not you have FAHUs or any other extras.

For FCUs that serve more than one room, I would combine these rooms together (if they have identical thermal profiles and orientations) and assign them under the same FCU. If the thermal profiles/orientation is different, you can try splitting the FCUs capacity and flow rates so that you would be modeling one "actual" FCU as two smaller FCUs. Alternatively, you can edit your system so that your fans and coils are outside the multiplex, and only the rooms are within it, however, if you are not very familiar with ApacheHVAC controls, it may give you some errors.
