App-G PRM Navigator (LEED)

Post by geshen516 »

Dear organisation,

i have a few questions concerning the use of this workflow/process when using the navigator. i will refer to the VE Gaya Navigator manual pages for each question.

1) Is it needed to preform the roomgroup naming according to page 25 and assign thermal templates as stated? We have a workflow with own goupnaming and templates assign in our projects. I only want to abbandonn this workflow if it keeps the Navigator from working corrcect. (so uses IES scripts that refer to specific names that cant be altered in order to work correct).

2) in our proposed design we use occupancy profiles that are custum to the project, This also accounts for the HVAC flow/temperature controls. Can we use them still or are these preprogrammed as well? (so can we alter the prototype systems profiles safely for proposed and design.)

3)In the proposed design we use the internal loads (lighting, people , receptacle) .In the navigator on the Room/Zone Thermal Template Data, new entry fields are available. Is it needed to enter the values there again (so will the internal loads specified in the thermal template be useless/overwritten/valid still?)

4) the elevator part described on page 43, it states at least one zone needs to be assigned. DOes this mean that i just have to assign a zone and thats ok, or do i need to assign all spaces/zones that connects with that elevator?

5)when arrived at page 22 and I import the gbxml everything gets lost(overwritten, and cant reassign). With lost I mean the on page 12 generated “prototype model data (90_1_2007_IP) (ps is there an SI version?)
These data is needed to assign the rooms in modelgroups etc.

When I try to redo the steps on page 12 nothing changes.
How could I solve this issue?

on later stages new gbxml’s are imported as the project evolves and I rather not setup the entireprocess again as now (all work overwritten as it seems)

It would be great to get advice on this topic. Having this step correct helps our daily workflow a lot. It would be much appreciated if guidance or advice can be given on this.
Thank you for reading the questions
