Hi,
I'm running IES VE 2012 (6.4.0.10)
I have been trying to add some constructions to the construction database. I've done this countless times on previous projects without any issue.
My approach is to copy and paste an existing construction and then edit it. The problem is, I did this for a wall and a door and it gave them the same ID "CT09", I've also got a roof and wall with the same ID "CN20".
I know I can use the target construction option which gets round this, but this cannot do glazing which I also want to create.
Is this a new bug for 2012?
Has anybody else seen this problem or know how to resolve it?
Thanks,
Olly
Construction Database Manager Duplicate ID Bug
Re: Construction Database Manager Duplicate ID Bug
Hi Olly,
I hadn't heard of this before but have been able to reproduce it just now by copying NCM Constructions! I'll log that with the development team but you can get around it by copying one of your copies and then deleting one of the Constructions with a conflicting ID (obviously this requires you to be on the ball to spot when it happens).
IES have a new mailbox where you can log feedback, development requests and issues such as this (straight to the development team, kind of...) feedback@iesve.com
