assiging construction to a model imported from sketch up

Post by Lily_gory »

Hi,
I have created a building with 12 rooms in sketch up and imported to IES. I have created different construction templates for different types of rooms in Building Template Manager. But How can I assign these templates to the respective rooms (to run a simulation in Apache View) so that I can test different envelopes for the building.
I know that we have to create a template before creating the rooms in IES. But this model I have imported from Sketch up.
Please write to me the possibilities if anyone knows how can I assign a construction template to a building imported from Sketch up ( I am looking for any option other than assigning in Apache View, where we assign for each element of the room individually).
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You can't assign Constructions templates in the same way as Thermal templates. Instead jump into an Apache view and use the Assign Constructions tool.
