Accredited Construction Details in DSM

I have a metal clad building which requires Part L 2010 compliance.

My experince of metal clad buildings is that they perform very poorly unless they have accredited construction details assigned to non-repeating thermal bridges.

Our client is favouring the use of DSM assessment, which we would usually advocate, but I am under the understanding that non-repeating thermal bridging cannot be accounted for within a DSM assessment. If this is the case, how does DSM deal with 'metal cladding' thermal enevelope elements?

If it is the case that they are not accounted for, then for the purposes of Part L compliance, would I be more advantageous to stick with SBEM?
