Weather files warning

Post by BasharSalih »

Whenever I open IES I get a message titled: Shared Content Out Of Date!
WARNING: Standard Data & Weather Files Installation is out of date!

Anyone know how to solve this? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You need Shared Content to run the VE, if you don't have the latest version it will tell you on startup of VE.

I assume you have recently installed VE 2012, this requires a Shared Content upgrade which should have installed automatically but isn't able to run for some users.

If you’re not sure if you have shared content on your PC then go to Control Panel>Programs & Features to see if you have Standard Data & Weather Files.

If you do then you can patch it by downloading the following installer and running it. http://cdn.iesve.com/ve/VESharedContent.msp

If you don’t have Shared Content at all then download the full Shared Content installer and run it. (be patient as it is a big download!): http://cdn.iesve.com/ve/VESharedContent.msi

Turns out I didn't have Shared Content. I don't get the warning anymore. Thanks!
