Window Surface Temperature

Post by NArtmann »

I exported a bcf-file from apache and imported it in MicroFlo. Then to run another case I changed the surface temperature of a window, but this seems to have no effect on the calculation/results.

I realised that there is a surface temperature set for the entire facade (click on surface on room level). Is this value applied for the entire facade including external wall and window? How can I set the window surface temperature?

Many thanks for your help!

Make sure you have the latest version of the VE as there was an issue importing boundary conditions with a couple of the v6x versions.

The boundary conditions are set in two places in Microflo.

1) For external walls, ceilings and floors the boundary condition is set in "Surface" mode, see the bottom right of the Microflo window which the surface mode.
2)For internal walls and all subsurfaces (windows/doors) the boundary conditions is set in "boundary" mode one level below surface mode.

The boundary condition in boundary mode overrides that in surface mode.
