VistaPro: Can we have more variables?

Post by RossThompson87 »

Hi,

A while back, I requested a few extra Vista variables, but I got the response that it would make the interface too cluttered. Now things have moved over to VistaPro and there are groups and filters, it would be good to get a few more as they could always be hidden.

Off the top of my head useful ones would be:

Free area (on room level, not per opening)
Apache HVAC exhaust rate (supply is already there)
Heat gains in W/m2 (we already have it in kW)
Floor area (obviously a constant, but would be useful to export with the other results)
Air exchange temperature (if set by a profile)

Thanks

Ross

Blinds position (up or down), would be another useful one.

Thanks

Hi Ross,

Heat gains in W/m² and Floor area can be created using the Custom Variables feature in VistaPro.
For any kW room variable you can create a W/m² variant using the expression ( A * 1000 ) / RA.
You can also do something similar for surface and opening variables by replacing RA with SA or OA respectively.
See section 6.4 of the Vista user guide and the Custom Variables user guide.

As for the other variables, i'm not best placed to answer.

I hope that helps,
John
