Thermal Bridges

Hello All,

I have questions with regards to thermal bridges in VE. Does VE insert them automatically?
1) Where can I find this option / tool in VE?
2) Is there a document publicly available that clearly explains this option / tool?

To respond to the first question - the thermal bridge option / tool is found :
> Apache Constructions Database > Settings > Thermal Bridging

Does anyone have any good resource material on using this option / tool? For example does VE automatically choose the where the respective thermal bridges are used according to the geometry of the model?

I'm sorry Ian, but I can't answer to your questions. So, is there anybody who could inform us about the way to control which thermal birdges is associated to which constructions?
I have also 3 linked questions:
is it possible to bind different types of thermal bridge to external wall for instance?
is it possible to bind some linear thermal bridges ? (between external wall and roof for instance)
how is it possible to take into account thermal bridges in wooden structure wall?

The current model for Thermal Bridging in VE is described best in our Knowledge Base articles - you apply a factor to the overall U-value to represent the thermal bridging, it's not a very advanced model I'm afraid.
