Should Watts be an option for internal gain units?

Post by tmoff »

I am new to this software, and am having some problems with lighting gains. The only options for units I see for adding an internal gain are: W/ft2, Btu/h, and fc. I can work with W/ft2 usually but I am trying to add my exterior lighting load to a room to make sure it is accounted for in an energy run and would prefer to just put in the total watts.

It is very possible that I am missing something obvious, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tyler

Alright I was able to get it sorted out. If you switch the units to Metric, then Watts becomes an option. The units can then be switched back to SI (unless working with metric of course) and the software calculates it from there.
