Hi folks,
I have an existing space that I'm trying to partition. It appears to partition successfully and snaps to the proper edges during the partition process. However, when I run the model report it shows that I have unmatched edges.
Any thoughts?

Re: Unmatched edges after partitioning
can you be more specific? where exactly the unmatched edges are occurring? (which spaces)

Re: Unmatched edges after partitioning
I think the problem might be with the fact that I'm trying to partition a space that already has a smaller space within it. the edges boarding this smaller space seem to have the unmatching problem. does that make sense?

Hi Mark,
Was your geometry drawn in modelIT or imported from sketch up?
It sounds like you're talking about a donut when you mention a space that has a smaller space within it (kind of looks like a donut), which is impossible to draw in IES without getting an intersection warning (I think?).
If you do have an imported donut, these spaces typically tend to cause geometry issues with IES and other modeling software. The best fix is to re-draw the larger space initially in half with the smaller space adjacent to both halves.
