Hi, I have two questions about the results viewing:
1. I run a dynamic simulation with apache-sim to analyse the energy consumption for heating and domestic hot water of a building. The DHW is partially heated by solar panels, the characteristic of which are set in the "Solar water heating" window. I would like to see how much energy can be produced by the solar panels and it seems like the only variable to do that would be "DHW Solar heat input" in the "SYSTEM MISC" group in VistaPro BETA. The problem is that when I try to see the results it says there are no data to plot. What could be the reason for that? Is there any other way I could see the solar panels heat production?
2. Are the data for calculating "lights electricity" taken from FlucsPRO/LightsPRO of form the setting for internal gains? Hou is the energy consumption for artificial lightning calculated? Is there a way to control the lights based on the natual light availability?

sorry for the delay in replying, the forum refresh has brought this one to my attention.
1. To see the impact of the solar water heating you should look at system variables and select DHW Solar heating system input (compare this to the Boiler DHW Load and you should see a direct relationship if it's working properly).
If you don't see the expected results here just confirm that the solar water heating link is ticked in apache systems and that you have set an appropriate panel area. Also confirm that there is a DHW demand for that system.
2. In thermal simulations lighting is represented by Internal gains from the Thermal templates of the rooms (there are Fluorescent and Tungsten lighting Type options). You can apply variation profile and dimming profile to these gains to control both lighting schedules and dimming.
For daylight based lighting control you can link to RadianceIES results. In radiance set up Sensors and run the apache calculation. Then in ApPro create the dimming profile based on the room daylight illuminance calculated by the sensors (variable is e1).

I am having a similar problem as above (problem 1) but my question is also in regards to setting the system in Apache systems.
1. What is the relationship between the hot water and solar water htg tabs? For example, If I set up DHW storage in the DHW tab and in the Solar hot water tab, does the system count the storage twice?
2. In Vista pro, I followed the instructions (using the solar hot water selection in 'System Misc' in the variables selection) yet I keep getting 'no data to plot'. What am I doing wrong?
