k-e turbulence model in MicroFlo
Re: k-e turbulence model in MicroFlo
That information isn't published, and I'd like to know as well. For that matter, I'd like to see a MicroFlo Calculation Methods manual, or 'something' to let you know what the software is doing; so far there is only a user instruction manual.

Me too...
Re: k-e turbulence model in MicroFlo
The standard reference for Microflo calculations is “An introduction to computational fluid dynamics: the finite volume method†by HK Versteeg and W Malalasekera.
The turbulence model in Microflo was implemented as outlined in that book.

I don't own that book. If I owned every thermofluids and CFD book ever written I'd need to move to new premises.
To answer the original question, from looking at the book on google books, it seems that the model in question is the standard model. I certainly think IES could do a much, much better job documenting MicroFlo in particular. IES cannot expect their software to be used in any meaningful way without explaining the basis of what their software does in the form of a manual, as currently there is absolutely no way to know what are the limitations of the software other than the limitations made obvious from features absent in the GUI.
