PMV stays at over 1 when A/C is on

Post by firecover »

Hi,

I've set up a model with a A/C cooling-set point at 26'C and the PMV is still at over 1 during the summer. I think the PMV should be a lot more closer to 0 when A/C is on but not sure why it's always stay at around 1. I've check the cooling load and it seems like the A/C is working properly according to the schedule. Anyone knows why this is happening?

PMV is affected by a lot more factors than just the room temperature. You would need to check for relative humidity, air speed, clothing, and mean radiant temperature.

Furthermore, I am not quite sure, but I believe 26 C is on the "not too comfortable" side of things. If I am not mistaken 23-24 C is considered a more comfortable room temperature.
