ASHRAE 90.1 Navigator - Updating fans

Post by luanaepb »

Hi,

I'm using the 90.1 Navigator and I've noticed that, since IES-VE was updated to VE-2012 there's a problem when updating fans information. For example, If I change the pressure, or anything else in loads data, these changes are not assigned to ApHVAC.

Do you know what's happening? I've been noticed this fact in all simulations I've been running.

Thanks.

Hi,

I think I've seen a few different reports related to this and believe it's because of some changes to the system/loads data spreadsheet names in VE 2012.

Does it happen for new project created in VE 2012 or projects from VE 6.4 that have been upgraded?

I believe the development team have already put in some fixes for this and may be working on some more but you should (I believe) get a better results for a new project started in VE 2012 so it will have the correct spreadsheets for your systems. Also check our Download Centre to make sure you are running the latest VE 2012 hotfix (Release Notes detail all the changes since the first 2012 release)

Hi Phill,

This is happening for new projects created in VE 2012, I haven't already checked if it happens for the upgraded models.

I'm working with the latest version, so I think there may have some things to fix. =)

Thanks a lot.

Hi Phill,

I've reinstalled all the program's files and the problem seems to continue: i I change the pressure or the fans' efficiency, nothing changes in the ApHVAC file. =(

it's likely not an installation issue but rather something in the software that needs to be resolved. I'm sure the development team are on it already and if it's a software issue it will be resolved in an update soon
