Revit 2010 to IES 6.0

Post by derekyu »

Once again, I don't know what I'm doing.

In Revit, I've linked in the arch file. I've drawn floors and ceilings (that takes care of my previous problem). I've assigned spaces.

I can export and have little issue there.

When I bring up the model in ModelIT, I have no walls. Each wall is broken down as a wall and a hole. Basically, it's a "phantom" border separating the spaces. What did I do wrong here? That partitions are in the right space, just that there's no wall showing.

Hi,

The first thing this reminds me of is room separation lines. When you have used room separation lines to bound the rooms in Revit these will be passed via gbXML to <VE> as air gaps. To get the physical opaque walls to come through you need to make sure the wall elements in Revit are room bounding and they are placed at the limits of the room (it will be the walls that define the room area when you place it in plan view)
