New User - Moderated?

Hi,

I joined this board last week (November 9) and wrote a post on the same day, but that post has not appeared in the boards. I guess there is some level of moderation in action, is this kind of delay normal or only for new users? If for new users can you give me an idea of how long I should expect this to continue?
