Are Components from Component Modeler included in Load Calc?

Post by smalltownboy »

Dear all,

I am working on a project of a library. It is remodeled from a warehouse and has several rows of huge bookshelves inside.

I did the following:

1) I just modeled the warehouse itself, and then changed the furniture thermal mass factor, run the load calc.

2) I modeled the bookshelves in Component Modeler, assigned the construction, and successfully put them into the model in ModelIT.

Then I changed the furniture thermal mass factor, run the load calc.

The results from 1) and 2) are exactly the same. I am just wondering, are components included in load calc in IES? Or they are just for CFD and lighting simulation? If not, could anyone let me know where I can check the box to make a difference in load calc?

Thanks for your time in advance,

Wei
