my project is " IMPROVING THE VENTILATION RATE IN CLASSROOMS USING NATURAL VENTILATION TECHNIQUES", and i used a wind tower and solar chimney, but the air temperature still very high (37-39), and also the macroflo internal vent very high, it reached 900 l/s and this is not logical at all.. plz can anybody help?
Best regards
high air temperature and macroflo internal vent.

Re: high air temperature and macroflo internal vent.
Hi,
Usually with a query of this nature I'd suggest you review a typical classroom in your model and check all of the thermal template information first, run the simulation without MacroFlo for example and check all the results match your expectations. If so then you know it's related to the openings and strategy you have applied there, double check your MacroFlo opening assignments and all openings connected to the rooms and if you are using complex formula profile controls then try simplifying them to check step by step if it is all performing as you had intended.

Re: high air temperature and macroflo internal vent.
I control windows using something like this profile: gt(tdr;20;2) & gt(to;18;2) & lt(ws;4.5;2). Note leave the opening threshold at 0°C.
Essentially I begin to open when the Tdr is > 20 and the To is > 18 and if the Windspeed is less than 4.5m/s. (Note I have some proportional bandwidths to the variables, which ive highlighted bold, you may or may not require these but essentially it will begin to crack open at 18° if the conditions are met)
I also do not spec a window openalke area as 100%. Neither do I crack it open 90°. You will end up with ACH rates in fantasy land. If they added a variable to control the ACH (you reading IES?) that would be nice, but they havent. Bad IES.
I start small with openable area as say 5% and the opening angle at min 10° and work up from there to a maximum allowable by common sense ACH rate. I try to control the air change and see how the Tdr responds.
A common mistake I used to make was having the heating on in summer too. Doh! Good luck.
