Weather File access!

Post by Sidny »

Dear all,

I am working on a project. The project was created and modelled by someone else. He ran the model several times in regard to calculate and find the rooms which overheat!
Currently, I am trying to work on it and run the model, unfortunately, there is a bit of problem!
This problem occurs in two occasion: One after running the ApacheSim and the other one is when I want to open Vista Pro regardless running or not running the analysis!
The Error come as: "Unable to access file - \ ManchesterDSY05.fwt"! I have been trying to sort this out, but I haven't able to fix it!
One thing I have found is; when I am trying to open my weather file in the APLocat and select the weather file; all the locations and in this case are like this: "ManchesterEWY.fwt"! As you can see these two are not the same; one of them is 'DSY05' and the second one is 'EWY'!
I am not sure how can I rectify this!
I would appreciate any help!

Kind regards,

Sidny

Hi Sidny,

The ManchesterDSY05.fwt is a CIBSE Weather File for Part L DSM analysis in the VE Compliance module and has to be purchased (they aren't sharable).
I'd suggest phoning up our technical support team (or sending them in an email) if you want to purchase the file to use for VE Compliance simulations. Alternatively if you are running ApacheSim (not for Compliance) you can chose the EWY file.

Best of luck,
David.
