Hi,
We have just updated the server in the company I work and when I try to start IES I get the following WARNING:
WARNING: the PIN number: XYZ stored in the
keys.txt file at "T:\apps\Keys"
is not valid for that folder.
The PIN number for the specified location is YYY.
NOTE: you CANNOT copy keys files from one location to another.
Each new keys folder requires a new keys licence file.
Please contact IES if you require assistance.
And in the troubleshooting:
[KEYS INFORMATION]
PIN: XYZ
Licence directory = T:\apps\Keys
STATUS: No problems detected
Remote keys on '\\tbs-vm-fs' IP = [---]
Client IP = [---], IPMask = [---], Subnet test = WAN
Connection protocol: ethernet
Connection type dW(2)
Test: 588A25BA(0)
Licence DAT file = C:\Program Files (x86)\IES\VE 2016\apps\keys\ies.dat
STATUS: No problems detected
Application directory = C:\Program Files (x86)\IES\VE 2016\apps\
Standard Data and Weather Files Directory = C:\Program Files (x86)\IES\Shared Content\
I have already tried to repath the licence key and didn't help.
Does anyone know what I am supposed to do to fix this issue?
Thanks.

Re: Problem with licence key following server update
Hi,
Thank you for your post.
It seems you have attempted to place your keys into a new location.
Your keys will always be assigned to a specific location there for will prompt this error when this is attempted.
If you wish to transfer to the new location you can do so by using the following link.
http://www.iesve.com/support/knowledgebase/faq/2923
If you need any further help please do not hesitate to email my team and myself at keys@iesve.com
Hope this has been of some help.
Kind Regards,
Kieran
