Radiant fraction in sensed value (dry-bulb)

Works in conjunction with ApacheSim to provide effective modelling of conventional/advanced HVAC systems, operation and control.

Radiant fraction in sensed value (dry-bulb)

Post by StefanBojesen »

Hey all,

I have frequently been visiting this forum for help scearch on topics regarding ApacheHVAC, and it seems that it's finally my turn to post a question to you guys.

I am setting up a controller which controls the volume flow depending on dry-bulb temperature. I do however want to control the volume flow by the operative temperature, by setting an Radiant fraction on my sensed variable (the dry-bulb temperature) of 0.5. It seems when im running my Apache simulation that NOTHING is sensed, yielding a volume flow of 0.0 annually. I have tried alot (and a lot of manual reading) but i simply cannot solve this myself, and i were wondering if any of you guys had experinced the same?

Best regards,
Stefan

usually when this happens to me it would be one of the following issues:

1. I forgot to assign proper set-points to the room
2. The controller was switched off
3. The room was set to unconditioned

You can check if the issue is from your sensor or any other inputs that might be overriding it by checking the room temperature in VistaPro.
