Hi,
I am having difficulty with introducing data from a manufacturer to create a new window type into the project construction.
The problem is that IES requests for us to introduce the data referent to each glass pane this includes conductivity, transmittance, reflectance and others in order for it to calculate the window final proprieties, but manufacturer's such like Pilkington and others tend to provide the data for an arrangement of an actual set of glass panes to create a window, giving us the proprieties of the final window.
I tried to contact them to obtain the data for each type of glass pane but with no success, same thing happen with other glazing manufacturer such like Guardian. Tried with the software of each glazing company to obtain the data of a single window pane with no success since they block the options as you go single double or triple glazing.
I have also tried to manipulate the data on IES, but when I do this there are other parameters that always deviate from what the manufacturer indicates such like the final g-values.
Without being able to do this I cannot advise the architect for him to make a cost effective choice for his glazing since I can't model the building with the actual glazing of each manufacturer.
Am I missing the method to do this correctly? Is there a process for us to introduce the data of the manufacturer correctly?
Please note that I initially tried to use the data on the software library but the information didn't exist for some of the glass panes.

To change the final U-value of the glass just play around with the air gap resistivity, and to change the g-value play around with the transmittance properties. Unfortunately its all trial and error to get the correct U and g-values. You can generally ignore a slight change in the U-value or g-value if it was affected by other parameters you edited.
