Help with custom thermal templates and space classification.

I have created custom thermal templates in building template manager and applied those templates to my zones. When I view the tabular space data it shows that internal gains are there. But when I go to space classification it says "No templates were assigned" and shows no active space types for internal heat gains or air exchanges. How do I get these custom templates assigned? I'm using 2017.
