SHGC or SC

Post by myope »

In construction I see Total Coefficient for glazing after deriving parameter, in general or theory, SHGC = SC x 0.87. So total Coefficient in VE equivalent SHGC or SC ?

Thanks.

The SHGC is calculated as follows:

SHGC = Total shading coefficient * 0.87

This complies with NFRC. If you wish to view the calculated SHGC then you can do so by switching the U-Value method to ASHRAE, you’ll then be able to view the SHGC in derived parameters.
