Creating low-e and reflective glazing

Post by Yahya »

Hi there,
Would anybody be able to help here by suggesting some glzing properties that can be considered as 'low-e' and also another set of properties for 'reflective' glazing? I'm just trying to model some options that are possibly suitable for hot-arid climates.
I have come across some suggestions here i.e. changing the air gap resistance but not sure which values are reasonable.
Any advice is highly appreciated.

Hi again, would be easier to refer me to the glass types in the System Materials (i.e. their ID no or name). Thanks again to whoever helps or reads this.

Hi, have you tried looking at the system constructions instead? There are some glazing types that may fit what you are looking for (example IDs: DGL-R, DGS-L) that you can directly copy over to your project. You can then change the air gap resistance to fit your target U-Value.
