I'm using IESradiance for daylighting simulation, and the following error message just keeps showing and the program stops working.
"radcalc engine has stopped working. a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"
does anyone know how to fix this please?

Re: RadCalc engine has stopped working error
seems like a tech error, maybe sending a request to ies technical support would be helpful.

Re: RadCalc engine has stopped working error
Hi,
Did you check the Radiance logs in the project folder to see if they are flagging any problems? What type of calculation are you running when the error appears?

Re: RadCalc engine has stopped working error
Thank You for your reply,
I use it for calculating the illuminance level over the horizontal workplane.. But I didnt understand what do you mean by if the radiance logs flag any error... How should I know that??

Hi,
In the project folder you will find the Radiance subfolder, it holds all of the Radiance calc outputs including the error log and radiance log files which you can open with notepad and will usually point you toward the source of the error

Re: RadCalc engine has stopped working error
Hi there, I have received the same error when I was queueing a number of simulations in Tasks. Once the error happened, the rest of simulations in the list did not carry on until I clicked on 'close the program'. It would be great if the developers team could make Tasks a little bit smarter by containing/skipping the failed simulation and carrys on with the rest.
Thanks,
Yahya

This TestoPrime review showcases the benefits really well.
