Hi all
I've been working on a DSM model and in checking all my inputs I've seen in the Apache Systems on the Aux Energy tab there is a variable called 'Auxiliary energy fan fraction' set to 0.5 (right at the bottom above the Meter drop down VE 2017 Hotfix 1)
I've had a look through the user guide and the NCM but can't seem to find what this refers to, can anyone shine any light on this? I presume it's something pretty straight forward and I've just missed/forgotten it.
Thanks

Re: DSM Ap Systems Aux Energy Fan Fraction
Hi,
Sorry I need to get that updated in the User Guide. It is related to our new Meters and End Uses options in the results analysis and allows you to specify the fraction of the auxiliary that is associated to fans (and not pumps) which would allow viewing that breakdown on the results when viewing energy consumption etc
It's not actually active yet as we didn't enable the Meters option in VE Compliance in the first phase of this development so the bit of interface should be ignored. It won't affect any Compliance energy calculations or results reporting though

Re: DSM Ap Systems Aux Energy Fan Fraction
Hi Phil
Thanks for replying, the name of the variable makes much more sense now.
I'll ignore this for the time being in DSM and keep an eye out for the addition of meters function to VE Compliance.
Thanks
