Hi All,
I'm trying to run parametric simulations with cooling setpoints as the variable. The project includes ApcheHvac. I tried the Parametric Batch Processor, set the cooling setpoint as the variable, from 69.8 to 82.4, in step of 0.9, but the results for all simulations are the same.
Is anyone know why all the results turned out to be the same? Is that because Parametric Batch Processor doesn't work for ApcheHvac? If that's the reason, is there any other way I can do the cooling setpoint parametric simulations ?
Thanks a lot!

Re: Parametric Simulations for ApacheHvac
Hi,
Parametric Batch Simulator isn't able to edit ApacheHVAC parameters yet unfortunately so the setpoints that were being modified in your test runs are likely only those that would apply if you are running using the simple apache systems which I'm should you'd be able to see if you rerun without HVAC link on

Re: Parametric Simulations for ApacheHvac
Thanks Phil,
The parametric batch processor do work without HVAC link on, but as I'd like to simulate some more complicated system, like DOAS + chilled beam, which could not realize by Apache systems. Is there any way to do parametric runs with Apache Hvac is on?
Thanks!

Re: Parametric Simulations for ApacheHvac
I was doing similar thing once and what I did is to create multiple copies of ApacheHVAC file and changed only the setpoints in each of them, then you size each of them and add each of them to the queue in parametric batch.
Re: Parametric Simulations for ApacheHvac
Though it still take some time to size each of them, but works, thank you!dawar wrote:I was doing similar thing once and what I did is to create multiple copies of ApacheHVAC file and changed only the setpoints in each of them, then you size each of them and add each of them to the queue in parametric batch.
Re: Parametric Simulations for ApacheHvac
Is there an ETA on when ApacheHVAC variables will be added to the parametric tools? If the variables are going to take a while, could different HVAC files be used as a partial step, similar to how it searches through the weather folder and simulates all the different weather files you give it?
