Hi,
I'm trying to install the 2017 2nd hotfix, and I get a error saying that the MSI file can't be found, and asking me to change the source folder to find it - but I don't know where it is. Any suggestions?

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 've2017.msi' in the box below"
It defaulted to "C:\WINDOWS\ccmcache\34\"

ve2017.msi Missing
Re: ve2017.msi Missing
After a while, my IT team figured this out. It was an issue with the previous version of 2017 being uninstalled incompletely. It maybe specific to the way my company installs things, but if it comes up for anyone else, you just have to have your IT uninstall the previous version completely (i.e. programs and features uninstall might not get it all).
Re: ve2017.msi Missing
Hi,
I have the same problem with ve2017-400setup. But I can't uninstall because it always demende the VE2017.msi.
Where can I find it ?

Kevin

Re: ve2017.msi Missing
There was a program that my IT team gave me (sorry I can't remember what it was) that was basically a super-uninstaller. The default Microsoft uninstall functionality couldn't see anything still installed, but this program could, and it got rid of that msi file.
