Hi,

The only geometry that will be imported to <VE> is walls, floors, roof etc elements that are Room Bounding and form part of a room volume boundary (else they will come through as shading surfaces).

My initial instinct here would be to check that the roof has Room elements inside/bound by it (check the upper limits of the rooms extend up to the roof) and just make sure that when the roof is imported it is recognised as a Room Bounding element (check element properties Room Bounding checkbox).

We have some Revit White Papers that you may find useful and better understanding of this process may help you work this out - download from the Related Links section on this page http://www.iesve.com/Software/Model-Bui ... it-plug-in

Hope this helps, if anyone else has any suggestions please feel free to post these here.

ok I can guess what the problem is (the surfaces not being recognised by Revit for export) but I'm afraid I don't know the solution.

I remember one of my colleagues who is currently out of the office on hols looking at importing Rhino to Revit for export to <VE> so will ask if he has any guidance when he gets back.

Another place you could look would be the Autodesk AUGI forums as this is effectively an issue with Revit gbXML Export so maybe some users there can help us out a bit.
