Furniture Factor

Post by niallb »

Hi,

What exactly does the furniture factor do and how should i use it for? Is there a table of typical values anywhere?

Thanks

Hi,

Have a look at the Apache View User Guide for definition of the Furniture Mass Factor input. ApacheSim Calculation Methods includes a section called Air Mass and Furniture Modelling which will give you a good insight into what it does.

Remember all User Guides are available via the help menu in VE >> User Guides option

Hi,

Just to further the question about furniture factor. The default in IES is 1.00, can anyone tell me what 1.00 actually means?
Does it represent 100% or is it a multiplication factor? or what is it?

I would very much appreciate any information i can get.

Thanks in advance,
David Breen
