Column Gaps after dxf extract

Post by JLuckett »

Hi all,
When extracting the construct dxf geometry, I am left with gaps where columns are represented in the model. I am using layers doors, glazing, and room area boundary (computing from wall center lines), but the area boundary doesn't seem to account for columns which leaves me with gaps where the columns are. This requires going in and adding the void spaces manually or face dragging and snapping to resolve each space. I know I could delete columns in revit file but then I would have to reattach each corner joint where columns were present. I have tried messing with the tolerances, but haven't been able to find a solution yet. If anyone has found a workaround for this or know a good setting in tolerances to account for it, then I would love to know and be able to avoid the tedious task of correcting each column spot in revit or gap left in IES.
Thanks, Jack
