HVAC Methodology - change from ApSys to ApHVAC

Works in conjunction with ApacheSim to provide effective modelling of conventional/advanced HVAC systems, operation and control.

HVAC Methodology - change from ApSys to ApHVAC

Post by crollinjones »

I am working on a model originally created with VE 2016 with the HVAC Methodology set to ApSys. I updated the model to VE 2017 FP3 and I am hoping to change the HVAC Methodology to ApHVAC. I am not able to find a way to do this easily. The only method I can think of is to go through the Building Template Manager changing each space type one at a time.

Does anyone have a better suggestion?

hey man,
If you use the tabular BTM then you can select thermal conditions group if its not default -> go to system tab -> select all templates you want to change -> use drop down to change hvac methodology all at once
If that doesnt work, you could try exporting the data to a text file, then use excel to change column and then re-import template data from file or clipboard into tabular data.
not sure if it will absolutely work but I would give that a try...

cheers,

If your spaces are all assigned to space type templates, then you just change it once for the template, not for each space. This should work in the regular or tabular editor.

Thank you for responding to my question and my apologies for not getting back sooner. I did find that changing the template works best.
