Project Notebook Improvements

The new project notebook in 2018 is really useful! Would it be possible though to simplify it to a single notebook for the whole project, rather than changing by application? It makes it hard to see whole task lists and things for everything at once.

To me that's also an important enough feature to add an icon to the main menu bar, maybe between the archive and the navigator icons?
