passive house glazing parameters

Post by p1234567 »

Hi,
I am doing simulation for passive house for my thesis.
I need the Uwindow=0.6 W/m2K
I have triple glazed low e argon filled glazing. 6 mm pane with 18 mm filled argon spacing.
I want to enter the right parameters of transmittance, emissivity, reflectance and shading to reach this U value.
please advise.
which parameters should I change and which I should leave untouched?
I understood that the low emissivity coating is applied on the 2 &4 panes .

The transmittance is the VL transmittance?

thank you in advance

Hi R.K.

After numerous attempts, I have never been able to get the IES constructions to align perfectly with provided data.

I think there are various different methods for calculating g-values etc.

Common practise tends to be to get it as close as possible then ensure that the u-value and g-value are correct, and thermal mass is accurate.
