solar panels energy vs external surface incident solar power

Post by p1234567 »

Hi,
I am seeking having zero carbon house. I developed passive house. now I am designing the solar system.
the External surface incident solar power is available and I know that the power generated by panels on South side would be 16% (coefficient of panels) of the incident power. but as for IES VE to estimate the area needed which variable calculates the power generated by the panels?
thanks.

All inputs you see on the PV Panels tab and PV Types in Electricity Generators are used to determine the electricity generated by PV panels at each time step.

The best approach here is probably running numerous tests on a project with one room with different inputs for PV so you can see the impact they have on PV generated electricity.
