Radiance not running

Hi,
I have the same issue for running Radiance. It seems it finished with creating images, but the program stocked at popping up the image window.
Does anyone has an idea to fix it?

I've noticed that this sometimes still occurs in VE 2016. When running a simulation in the sensors settings tab using the "Apache" radio button, the progress bar hangs on "initializing"

Sometimes when I save, close out, and re-open, it runs. But other times it hangs on initializing.

I see that after press on Radiance or Apace button (in sensor setting tab), calculation done very fast but provide incorrect data, so whole building simulation can not run. End with error message or stop at 0% - "processing data, please wait" ... forever

Hi,

I can run the image simulation for specific time. However, when I run the dynamic simulation I get the status (Initialising) then (Running rcontrib) after which the simulation stops without results. Please help.

It's 2019 and this is still a problem.

I have not once ran a successful Daylight Simulation for the proposed model as it gets stuck at 0% forever. This only happens with the PRM module as simulation that is started from the Radiance application runs just fine. This means that I can't generate the final PRM report for ASHRAE 90.1, at least not without a workaround.

Note that this happens with both highly complex projects and very basic ones with absolutely no geometry error and with few daylight sensors. I am yet to complete a model where I am not going to run onto a technical issue or a bug with this software... It's just ridiculous how much time I am spending on troubleshooting and testing various workarounds. They should be paying me as a beta tester, since it feels that IES is still in beta testing or even alpha. Software that cost this much must not be this broken.

I am sorry to hear you have trouble with the software. The simulation for PRM model should run fine, there is no known issues with it. If you could send your model over through http://upload.iesve.com we will investigate further.
