Apache dynamic simulation error
Apache dynamic simulation error
There seems to be a problem when I try to do the Apache Dynamic simulation for my model (150 rooms, 590 local shade elements), I get an ERROR "maximum number of opaque elements exceed, 2000". Is it because i'm using the 30-day trial version?

Re: Apache dynamic simulation error
Hi
This message tell us that there are extra constructions appearing in your project. Here is how to investigate too many constructions/materials and resolve.
Go to Apache and then open the Apache Constructions Database
Now, try selecting Purge unused project constructions on the left and then attempt a simulation. That should remove the corrupt constructions which are not in use.
You can also purge materials, so I’d try that too.
If that doesn't help, then first thing to do is carry out a “save as” on your project.
You can manually clear all constructions from the project by deleting the .dfa and .mat files from the project apache folder, these hold the construction and material data respectively so when you next open the project you would find all constructions removed and replaced with defaults.
You can then import (via master templates) or recreate the constructions you need, assign them to the rooms and run the analysis.
I have attached a pdf file for further reference on importing and exporting thermal datas using master template wizard.

Rishikesh
