Hi,

I'm not quite sure what you mean - can you clarify?

Dear Phil,
Thank you so much for your replay.
I never try this option when I done the solar shading calculation, Is it meaning that I have apply some thing manually? I am interested in understanding the effect of this option, It's my glad if you can introduce me some reference or explain the effect of this option in my results.

Regards,
Sahar

The shading file is calculated in SunCast. This would allow you to take into account the shading effects of any local, topographical or adjacent building shades modelled around your building.

You have to first run the SunCast solar shading calculation to generate the 'shading file'
Then in Apache Simulation settings dialog (before a sim) you have the option to include this shading file or not in the sim.

Does this help at all?
