I have a model that I created without ceiling plenums as separate "void" zones. I am wondering what the fastest way to go back and create the plenum zones would be.
Do I have to go down to each and every space and use a cutting plane to divide the space into two? Is there no way to do this for all spaces on one level at the same time?
Thanks.

You could use the edit height tool to drop the rooms' ceilings and then copy the rooms up to the next level and repeat the edit height to squash the copied rooms to plenum height.

That would work and keep succinct zones, however If you would like to not have separate zones to worry about you could use the partition tool and either add in partitions or not. This would enable you to have the two spaces connected together without a floor/roof/ceiling connection (depending on your settings) and you could model it to have no heating in the ceiling etc.
Id probably use this method first as a cutting plane is very quick and you dont need to worry much about breaking up your spaces into two parts and excluding one section from results etc....

Thanks to both of you for responding.
I do like the first solution because it seems pretty quick. The windows may complicate things a bit but perhaps you can select all the newly create plenum zones and apply to WWR tool to set the ratio to 0 and clear out all the windows that get copied..?
I also like the second point about keeping the two pieces of the one space together by dividing with partitions EXCEPT for the fact that it would take a long time to do to 200+ zones. Also, the point of separating them in the first place is to appropriately attribute loads between the space (for which room airflow is sized) and the plenum (which goes straight back to the coil of the central HVAC system). I believe you need to have a separate space in order to associate plenum spaces with the plenum object in an ApHVAC template (but haven't done this yet myself).

The "Edit Glazing" tool will allow you to completely remove all glass from a selection of rooms in one go.
