Import Construction Data

Post by Nick Ingram »

Hi,

I'm trying to import construction data from a file previously saved in a different project but I'm getting the following error:

Image

The text file I'm trying to import looks like this:
  • ID Category Description Data source U value (W/m²·K) Thickness (mm) Notes etc.
    CLCEI Internal Ceiling/Floor Floor Generic 0.1382 1930.000
CLEXT External Window Single Glazed Sash Windows Generic 5.0909 4.000
CEXTW External Window External Glazed Door Generic 4.8254 4.000
CFLOO Ground/Exposed Floor Ground Floor Slab Generic 0.8235 1105.000
CFLOOR Ground/Exposed Floor Basement Floor Generic 1.3183 780.000
CLIPAR Internal Partition Internal Stone Wall Generic 1.0110 1200.000
CLIWAL External Wall Stone Walls Generic 1.1450 1220.000
Any idea of how to fix this? I've tried different IDs and I always get the same error...

Thanks in advance :)

I don't recognise that error or dialogue box, are you trying to import this using the Building Template Manager in the Virtual Environment? If not, what are you using to try and import it?

If you are still trying to import constructions from a different project then you may be interested in my response to the following thread.

Hi Terence,

Thanks for your reply. Exactly, I was trying to import using the Building Template Manager. I'll have a closer look at the other thread, but it sounds like a good solution.
